Sportus was launched in 1999. Sportus was initiated by Adam Curry and was supported by Dutch athletes like olympic medal winners Marcel Wouda (swimming) and Ron Zwerver (volleybal) and famous Dutch athletes like Jacco Eltingh (tennis) and Daniëlle van der Gaag (cycling). Sportus was The Athlete Store run by athletes.
In 2006 Sportus was relaunched embracing a product line inspired by sports fashion and retro fashion. All brands have been selected by their historical and/or vintage looks, their original sport identity and fashion performance.
