Liverpool is a huge breeding ground for talent. The Merseyside region produces almost as many professional footballers as the city of London. Guys like Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Joey Barton, Ross Barkley and Leighton Baines learned to play football on the street. Thousands of times they shot their worn-out football into the intersection of the so-called urban goals, which are captured by photographer Michael Kirkham (40) from Liverpool. FC Kluif has entered into a collaboration with Michael, together we have designed a beautiful collection. "Liverpool is a city that still has enormous poverty and degeneration in its suburbs," said Kirkham. "The city has been in need of a large-scale refurbishment for decades, but we are being overlooked by the government. This ensures that children get creative and spend a lot of time outside. Within a radius of one mile (1.6 kilometers) around My house in the Aigburth district has at least thirty Urban Goals painted on the walls. Some local residents don't like it, but I think it's beautiful. It shows that Liverpool is still a real football city.
