For ten years, Meyba was the kit sponsor of Barcelona, during which the Spanish club won nearly every trophy possible. In the 1988-89 season, Barça finished second in La Liga behind rivals Real Madrid. That same season, Barcelona won the Cup Winners’ Cup (European Cup II). In the final, they beat Sampdoria 2-0.
